Wigan Warriors score with major Sealy sponsorship deal

January 25th, 2017

We’re delighted to announce that following our support for the Wigan Warriors at the Grand Final last year, we have now signed a major new sponsorship deal with the 2016 Super League Champions.

The ‘all-time most successful rugby league club ever’ will join some of the UK’s most accomplished sporting legends to support our ‘World of Sport’ campaign, which recognises the important link between great quality sleep and sporting excellence.

Earlier this month we kicked-off proceedings by delivering top-of-the-range Sealy beds to each player, helping them achieve the much-needed rest and recovery during a busy, intense and high-impact season. Not only that, but we also installed a dedicated relaxation bed in the club’s on-site gym for players to use after training. Wigan Warriors 2

Over the next 12 months, we’ll be rolling-out a number of engaging match day activities in and around the DW Stadium, which are guaranteed to get the crowd going!

Dan Burton, Commercial Sales Manager at Wigan Warriors, who brokered the deal, said: “This is an especially exciting partnership; rather than a linear sponsorship deal, Sealy has chosen to work with us in a genuinely meaningful way, helping our players achieve better quality sleep, which in turn helps their performance on the pitch. Not only that but our planned schedule of brand activations throughout the year are also particularly engaging, and will bring both our own fans, and visiting fans, real value and entertainment.”

Wigan Warriors 3Sealy’s brand marketing manager, Holly Venning, said: ‘We’re delighted to be partnering with such a successful and charismatic club. Our philosophy of helping people achieve a good night’s sleep is shared with the players and management, who all understand value and appreciate the major impact a restful night’s sleep can have on both the body and mind. We’re very much looking forward to rolling-out a series of planned activities, which will support the players and engage with club’s vast fan-base.”
